Timmy grew up in Ipoh, Malaysia, as the eldest son of open parents?a mother who?s a loving housewife, a father who loves music and a huge fan of Bee Gees, Beatles, Lobo, Carpenter, Rod Stewart and the list goes on and on. There was never a dull moment. At the age of 5, his father put him on stage and sings during wedding functions. At 13; he started to play the guitar, which became his best friend. He wrote his first song at 14, performed it on stage, and He was hooked as a singer/guitar player from that point on.
At the age of 16, He became obsessed with guitar after discovering John Petrucci (Dream Theater and quickly realized that music was his passion and that the persuit of excellence on his instrument would consume him for the years to come. To that end, he practiced for at least 6 hours a day in an effort to further his understanding and technical abilities as a guitar player. Some of his early influences include Greg Howe, Paul Gilbert, Steve Morse, Van Halen, Slash, Al DiMeola, Steve Howe, Allan Holdsworth, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Randy Rhoads, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Alex Lifeson, Yngwie Malmsteen, Rush, Yes, Iron Maiden, The Dregs,  Metallica and many more. At age 18 after graduating from high school, he attended the Revival Music Studio along with schoolmate/drummer Elliott where they fatefully practice and formed a band of what was to become where they are today.
During that time he also actively plays for his church and in touch with other churches for youth events, weddings, and even at TGV cinema on occasional nights. He was a member of many bands, from Rock to Fusion, and also discovered he had a love to lead worship and play as well.
In 2002, Timmy proceeded to take his passion on a very successful musical journey, He make a huge steps of faith to step out from his hometown to KL and attended CMP (Community Music Programme) under Professor Hanafie Imam to pursued his dream of becoming a recording artist and musical entertainer. It was there that he fell in love with jazz and learned under his Guitar Private Tutor (Isyam) to bring his technical abilities to another level. He also completed his Grade 8 Rock School under Trinity/Guildhall London.
Timmy is a member and musician at DUMC church (Damansara Utama Methodist Church) and also involved in guitar and bass playing for church and also events like ?Puji Nusantara musical?, ?Loud Concert? in the past. Besides serving for his church he also actively involved in the local music scene, performing around Klang Valley for opening ceremonies, weddings, private functions and so on.  
Along the years, Timmy has also done a few recording sessions, doing minus one for jingles and also hired as a sessions for local bands like Vespertine, The Rushers, Antraxs, V3, Thrived and many more. In was there, Timmy fatefully met drummer/Edmund, guitar/Clarence, Vocal/Nicholl and Bass/Karl and quickly formed the nucleus of what was to become their current band ?Seven.Eight Hertz? and involves playing and recording for BOB, MYC and 8TV (Original soundtrack drama).
